Nearby Wash Park boasts acres of pleasant grounds, including two lakes and two flower gardens — one of which is a replica of George Washington's gardens at Mount Vernon. The cottonwood banks and trails along the High Line Canal offer residents a scenic space to walk, ride and relax.
Golfers can walk in the steps of Ben Hogan — considered one of the greatest players in history — while hitting off lush fairways lined by mature trees at the renowned Wellshire Golf Course. This is the only course west of the Mississippi built by Donald Ross, the famed builder who originally designed Wellshire in 1926.
